Harvey Lilley directed the 2007 Timewatch documentary “The Real Atlantis”. Quickfire Media, who produced the programme for the BBC,  required a professional actress who enjoyed working with snakes to play the part of the Minoan Snake Goddess.

I had a live snake wrapped around each wrist! Unfortunately, in the finished programme (which went out on BBC2 at 9pm on 20th April 2007) I don’t think you can actually tell they were real…
